Our Pastor

Hello, my name is John Andrew Doherty (Andy) and I’ve been the pastor at W.B.C. since August of 1997. I was saved by grace through faith on April 18, 1987, and surrendered to the ministry in February of 1993. I received a Bachelors degree in Bible from Pensacola Christian College in May of 1997. I did graduate work at both Temple Baptist College in Cincinnati, Ohio and Landmark Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth,  Texas where I earned a D.M. a Th.D and am currently working on a Ph.D.

The great joys in my life are the Lord Jesus Christ, my family, and friends. In June of 1994 I married the love of my life Ruby P. Moyers, and then on May 27,1996, the Lord blessed us with a beautiful daughter; Elizabeth G. Doherty (Liz). Liz is currently a student at Pensacola Christian College.

My family and I accepted the call of God to serve here at W.B.C in August of 1997. It is truly an incredible privilege to be a part of what the Lord Jesus Christ is doing in and through this church.
